Eligibility Criteria
Who can apply?
USF Graduate Students
You may apply if you are enrolled in a graduate program (master's or doctoral level) at USF, including:
- Positive Behavior Support
- Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health
- Applied Behavior Analysis
- Social Work
- School Psychology
- Education
- Rehabilitation Counseling & Disability Sciences
- Public Health
- Medicine
- Behavioral & Community Sciences
- Other related programs
Community Members
You may apply if you are enrolled in an eligible FCIC community program, such as:- Community Scholars
- LAUNCH

How to apply
Step 1: Submit the Trainee Enrollment Form
The form will ask you to provide:
- Your contact information, academic program, and research interests
- A resume or CV
- The name of your faculty advisor or FCIC mentor
- Short responses to the following questions:
- What experiences, if any, have you had with people with disabilities and their families?
- What are your career goals related to people with disabilities and their systems, services, and supports?
- Why do you want to join the Interdisciplinary Training Program at FCIC?
Step 2: Interview
After we receive your form, you'll be invited to schedule a 30-minute interview with Training Director, Dr. Laura Rodríguez López, to discuss your application, interests, and fit with the program.

Program expectations
Once enrolled, all trainees are expected to:
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress (if applicable)
- Complete core training modules
- Participate in at least two professional development activities per semester
- Respond to training evaluation surveys
- Join and participate in AUCD's Emerging Leaders Community
Your Individualized Training Plan may include additional expectations based on your program and goals. These will be discussed during enrollment.
