Eligibility Criteria

Who can apply?

USF Graduate Students

You may apply if you are enrolled in a graduate program (master's or doctoral level) at USF, including:

  • Positive Behavior Support
  • Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health
  • Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Social Work
  • School Psychology
  • Education
  • Rehabilitation Counseling & Disability Sciences
  • Public Health
  • Medicine
  • Behavioral & Community Sciences
  • Other related programs

Community Members

You may apply if you are enrolled in an eligible FCIC community program, such as:
  • Community Scholars
  • LAUNCH

How to apply
Step 1: Submit the Trainee Enrollment Form
The form will ask you to provide:

  • Your contact information, academic program, and research interests
  • A resume or CV
  • The name of your faculty advisor or FCIC mentor
  • Short responses to the following questions:
    • What experiences, if any, have you had with people with disabilities and their families?
    • What are your career goals related to people with disabilities and their systems, services, and supports?
    • Why do you want to join the Interdisciplinary Training Program at FCIC?

Step 2: Interview
After we receive your form, you'll be invited to schedule a 30-minute interview with Training Director, Dr. Laura Rodríguez López, to discuss your application, interests, and fit with the program.

Program expectations
Once enrolled, all trainees are expected to:

  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress (if applicable)
  • Complete core training modules
  • Participate in at least two professional development activities per semester
  • Respond to training evaluation surveys
  • Join and participate in AUCD's Emerging Leaders Community

Your Individualized Training Plan may include additional expectations based on your program and goals. These will be discussed during enrollment.
