FCIC’s Employment Virtual Conference is an online interactive training opportunity for rehabilitation and employment professionals, educators, employers, policymakers, youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), family members, and anyone interested in promoting successful employment for individuals with I/DD.

The conference is held online over the course of one day and offers sessions tailored to meet the needs and interests of a diverse audience.

9:00 am - Keynote Panel Discussion - Creating Synergy for Tomorrow's Workforce: Employer Engagement. Panel will be facilitated by and interpreted by MacDonald Training Center. Panelists will represent the following: Employment Provider, Employer, Policy Agent, and a Service Provider.

10:20 – Changing Expectations for persons with disabilities in the workforce. Presented by Robyn Lewis

11:15 – DIVE-VRT: Delivering Innovative Vocational Education through Virtual Reality Technology (DIVE-VRT)

12:10 to 1:10 Lunch

1:10 to 1:55 - Disability Ability Employment Month as a resource for Employers and Employment Professionals by Denise R. Barnes.

2:00 to 2:50 - Apprenticeship Toolkit by Stuart Rumrill, Ph.D., LPC, CRC, Illinois Institute for Rehabilitation and Employment Research.
